I liked the old-school look combined with the bright (but not neon) color choices. What undid the junior varsity charm of it, however, was the too wide waistband. These aren't marketed as 'body shapers', but the height at which it perched far over the groin certainly gave it a distinctly girdle-ish feel and appearance. This could, of course, work for you, depending on what specifically you want your jock to shore up, but I found it distracting and discomforting, ironically because I've become so unexpectedly conditioned to the fit of low rise gear I never thought I'd be so taken by before finding this site. As a shorter dude with a relatively thick core and compact build in general, the proportions of this piece were all wrong. I did find it a fairly sturdy and otherwise well thought out design with good coverage and support. Notably, although the pop of cobalt blue was the clincher for my ordering this jock; it carried the disadvantage of further enhancing the high-waisted appearance. But as a suggestion, if you're a slimmer guy with a lengthy frame, or alternately if you carry a little more weight down in front and appreciate an extra inch or two of fabric tightening up a bit of curve below the abs, then there's enough quality and overall appeal here to justify the moderately priced purchase of some modern touches updating a respectable take on locker room nostalgia and styling. Suit up!
